New York, NY – May 20, 2020: New York Festivals® International Advertising Awards honored Hongcheon Hanwoo with the inaugural NYF Special National Brand Award at the 11th annual National Brand Awards (NBA) in Seoul, South Korea on May 14th at the Seoul Lotte hotel. Bae Seong Bong, NYF's Representative in South Korea presented the special NYF National Brand Award to Hong Won Lim,Union President of Hongcheon Hanwoo Beef Cooperative.
The 2020 NBA competition winners were selected from the highest scores determined by 12,000 people voting on the 2,000 highest level brands based on the NCI (National Brand Competitiveness Index) The annual National Brand Awards competiton is comprised of two separte sectors; the Industry Brand Sector which includes 35 categories, and the City/Agri-Food Sector with 25 categories.2020 honoree, Hongcheon Hanwoo received the highest score this year in the City/Agri-Food Sector earning the brand the prestigious NYF Special Brand Award.
Prominent brands regognized this year include: KIA, LG, Lotte, Hyundai, Seoul Metro City, Taegu Metro City and many more.This prestigious annual event was covered by JoongAng Ilbo, one of South Korea's major National newspapers.
